Father's Day

For Father's Day this year, we spent the day as a family at a friend's farm. We not only had the most relaxing day yet this summer, but we also knocked off #17 on our summer bucket list (fishing). Our boys have never been fishing, and absolutely loved spending the day outdoors.

Lex was really into everything - the casting, the waiting, watching the bobber, and reeling in fish.

In the downtime we snacked.

And hung from trees.

And played in the trees.

Eli too.

Eli had fun trying to catch the bait.

And sat around waiting for something to happen.

Some great daddy/son time.

Eli running down the lane to burn energy and time.

And then more waiting...

Lex got to pet the horse.

Eli watched with some distance between the horse and him.

 Lex climbing...

And finally a fish! (We ended up with 4 total - just enough for dinner and leftovers).

What a great way to spend Father's Day -relaxing in the sun, waiting for the fish to bite. It doesn't get any better than that!
